Jeff David (Bomber) Thomason, 83, of Malvern passed away August 31, 2021.  He was born January 1, 1938, in England, AR to Jeff and Helen Thomason.  Jeff was a heavy equipment operator at Arauco (formerly Flakeboard) in Malvern and retired in 2012.  He drove a van part-time for The Petty Center during retirement.  He loved and was loved by all his kids.  He had attended Cooper Assembly of God Church with his wife, Mary, until their health kept them from going.  He loved hunting with his best friend, Jim Coston, riding his four-wheeler, antique & muscle cars, Christmas, desserts and spending time with his family. When he became homebound, one of his favorite things was his granddaughters' bringing him a strawberry shake and hamburger from Sonic.  He served our country in the US Navy SF.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Mary Felty Thomason; sons Kirk and Kelley Jo Thomason; sister, Charlotte Horton.

Survivors include son, Darrell (Angela) Thomason of Malvern; son Jerry Thomason of Malvern; granddaughters Heather & Ellie Grace Thomason of Malvern; sister, Margo Thomason Tanton of Watauga, TX; brother, Ricky Thomason (Glenda) of Hazel, TX; brother-in-law, Burnis Horton of La Vernia, TX and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jeff was able to enjoy most of his later years in the home with his son, Jerry, being a dedicated and loving caregiver.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Encore Healthcare and Rehab for giving him the best care during his time spent there.

Visitation will be held at Regency Funeral Home, Saturday, September 4 ^th , from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.
