Jeremiah David Daily, age 82, of Donaldson, Arkansas, passed from this life on November 13, 2025, surrounded by his wife of 62 years, his children, and his grandchildren. He was born on August 24, 1943, in Donaldson, Arkansas, to Robert "Bob" Lee Daily and Pauline Virginia West Daily.
Jerry was a 1961 graduate of Ouachita High School where he loved being part of the FFA Team and formed many lifelong friendships. He attended the University of Arkansas and later earned both his bachelor's and master's degrees from Henderson State University. Jerry proudly served in the Henderson State University ROTC program, graduating with the rank of Second Lieutenant, and went on to serve his country as a Commissioned Officer in the United States Army.
While attending the University of Arkansas, Jerry married the love of his life, Janette Posey, on July 18th 1963. Their journey together spanned decades, states, and seasons of life - filled with family memories, travel adventures, and steadfast faith. He was a faithful member and deacon of Donaldson Missionary Baptist Church. He also served his community for over 20 years as a City of Donaldson Council Member and gave many years of service on the Ouachita Volunteer Fire Board.
Jerry and Janet shared a love for travel and were blessed to visit all 50 states, as well as Mexico, Canada, and Costa Rica.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents Bob and Pauline Daily and his sister, Sarah Connell.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 62 years, Janet Daily; daughters, Sharon Paredes (Milton) of Friendship and Lori Corter of Caddo Valley; son, Andrew Daily (Shelly) of Donaldson; Grandchildren: Nicole Hamilton, Colton Corter, Sadie Daily, Alyssa Myers, Emily Edington, Jalyn Daily, and Sydney Daily; great grandchildren: Haley Paul, Landon Hamilton, Jacelyn Hamilton, Evander Woodall, Rowan Collier, John Corter, Conrad Corter, Thomas Corter, Julia Corter, Mary Kathleen, and Kai Myers; his brother, Bill Gillam (Devonne) of Malvern; and a host of extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Donaldson Missionary Baptist Church on Sunday with visitation beginning at 1:30 pm, followed by funeral services at 2:30 pm. Officiating will be Bro. Keith Rowton and Bro. Milton Paredes.
Graveside services will follow at Ouachita Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Doug Burnett, Buddy Gillum, Jim Gillum, Robbie Rice, Tony Nix, and Paul Nix.
Honorary Pallbearers are Landon Hamilton, Lance Hamilton, Kolin Myers, Austin Edington, and Rocky Ware.
