Jerry McConnell age 68, of Malvern, passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2023, in Little Rock. He was born October 26, 1955, to Gilbert and Bertha McClellan McConnell. Jerry had been a production supervisor with Tenneco Packing and worked for Bulk Sak Company also in Malvern.

He was a member of Damascus Missionary Baptist Church and was a U. S. Army veteran during the Vietnam era stationed in Germany. He enjoyed being with his family which included two daughters and five grandkids.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Sue McConnell and Frances Morgan.

Survivors are his wife of forty years, Lisa McConnell; two daughters, Alisha Runnells (Chris) of Alexander and Lindsy Kemp (Cody) of Donaldson; one brother, Johnnie McConnell (Robin) of Whiting, Kansas; three sisters, Nora Garner of Malvern, Marie Cross (Leon) of Conway and Diane Doherty of Maumelle, Arkansas; five grandchildren, Breanna Runnells, Ethan Vaughan, Hailey Vaughan, Austin Moreland, and Alli Kemp and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 6-8 PM Thursday, December 21st at Regency Funeral Home.

Service will be at 10:00 AM Friday, December 22nd at Regency Funeral Home with Bro. Rickey Poyner and Bro. Billy Bosley officiating, and US Army Military Honors. A burial will follow at Macedonia Cemetery near Princeton.

Pallbearers are Chris Runnells, Cody Kemp, Don Moreland, Kyle Vaughan, Chris Jones, Paul Lane, Ethan Vaughan and Austin Moreland. Honorary pallbearers are Wayne Freeman and Trent Freeman.

The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Steven Meadors and the nurses and staff of the Critical Care Unit at St. Vincent Infirmary in Little Rock.
