It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Jessie Lathaniel Scott (Buzz) on August 20, 2026. Jessie was 61 years old and deeply loved by his family and friends. He will be remembered for his quick humor, generous heart, and his laugh that could fill a room. He worked in the logging industry all of his life as a sawhand.

A visitation to honor Jessie’s life will be Wednesday, August 26, 2026 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Regency Funeral Home. Those who wish to support the family may share a favorite memory or offer kindness in Jessie’s name as there will be a notebook available to write a memory in his honor.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie and Bonnie (Dixon) Scott; brother, Nathan Scott; and sisters, Della Holland, Kimberlee Scott, and Nancy Scott.

Survivors include his sister, April Norwood of Malvern; brother, Sampson Scott of Malvern; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Jessie’s laughter, generosity, and love will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

Visitation will be held Wednesday August 26, from 6PM until 8PM at Regency Chapel.
