Jo Dell (Parker) Morrison, 92, of Bismarck, AR, was born February 17, 1932, to Joe Willie and Dellia (Fleming) Parker in Eaton, Arkansas, the youngest of seven children. As was her prayer, Jo passed peacefully with family by her side, on Saturday, July 20. Other than her parents, Jo is preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband, Rush Morrison; her siblings Ray Parker, Phillip "Shorty" Parker, Marie Bond, Vernon Parker, JL Parker, and  Audrey Houser.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons Tom and Lori Morrison of Elm Springs and Rusty Morrison of Bismarck; daughter, Susie and Mike Cash of Bismarck; grandchildren Mitzi and Kyle Overturf, Jessica and Brian Harris, Leanna and Kevin Watkins, Rachel and Jarrod German, and Lisa and Jonathan Hawkins; great-grandchildren, Jackson and Sawyer Overturf, Savannah and Stetson Harris, Trey Watkins, Aurora and Myles German, and baby boy Hawkins expected in November; numerous nieces; and her constant companion, her little dog, Molly.

At the age of 13, after the passing of both of her parents, Jo moved to Hot Springs, AR, to live with her older sister Marie and her husband where she attended Hot Springs High School. Although she said she didn't enjoy math, twice Jo was moved up to the next grade because of her ability to complete the more advanced work and graduated high school in 1949. Jo and her two sisters, Audrey and Marie, opened "Three Sisters Cafe" where a young man named, Rush Morrison, would frequent and eventually spend all of his free time. Jo said he was the most handsome man she had ever seen and knew they would eventually marry, which happened on December 16, 1952. As was common, Rush and Jo moved for work, and lived in Ohio, West Virginia, Tennessee, and Missouri, having three children along the way, Tommy, Rusty, and Susie, before settling in Bismarck, AR, in 1973, where they opened "Morrison's Grocery". In the early 1980s, they branched out for a new venture and opened "Morrison's Cottages".

Jo was of the Baptist faith and a past Worthy Matron Eastern Star.  Jo enjoyed any kind of travel, from a day drive to longer trips. After Rush's passing in 2012, Jo continued traveling with her kids from time to time, and had many adventures with her daughter, Susie. Jo was an avid Arkansas Razorbacks fan, and if a game (football, baseball, or basketball) was on tv, she was watching. But her greatest happiness came anytime her family was near, and would often say "Just look at what me and Papa started".

Visitation will be Tuesday, July 23, at 10:00am, with a celebration of life following at 11:00am, at Regency Funeral Home in Malvern with Brothers Brian Harris and Ralph Ruffin officiating. Interment will be at Big Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kyle Overturf, Brian Harris, Kevin Watkins, Jonathan Hawkins, Jarrod German, and Ben Cash. Honorary pallbearers are her great-grandchildren.
