John Davis age 63, of Malvern passed away Monday September 29, 2025 at Baptist Health-HSC. He was born February 24, 1962 in Little Rock, AR., the son of Clint and Merilla Hayden Davis. He was a Malvern High School graduate Class of 1980, and then graduated from Henderson State University. John had worked for many years with the Malvern Water Works and recently became supervisor of the Waste Water Management. He was a member of Second Baptist Church, served as a deacon, very active with the Youth known as their "Bus Driver" but was way more than that as a mentor and friend. John was a member of the Arkansas Activities Assoc., serving as referee for football and softball games all over. One of John's greatest loves was his family, especially his grandkids.
He was preceded in death by his father Clint Davis, father and mother-in-law, Nelson and Serena Bailey.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 41 years, Lynn Davis, his children, Phillip Davis (Tess), Paige Anderson (Shane), and Bethany Davis, his mother, Merilla Davis of Benton, brother, Steve Davis (Carie) of Olive Branch, MS., sister, Sherry Maddox (Chris) of Colorado Springs, CO., grandchildren, Bear Montgomery Davis and Beckett Graham Davis, brother and sister-in-law, Dennis Bailey (Sara), Karin Grimes (Jerry) of Fort Smith and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Friday, October 3, from 5PM until 7PM at Second Baptist Church-Malvern.
Funeral Services will be held 10AM Saturday October 4, at Second Baptist Church with Brothers Joey McDermott and Cody Wright officiating. Burial will follow in Rockport Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers are Phillip Davis, Shane Anderson, Bryce Maddox, Jonathan Bailey, Devan Baugh, and Carl Wheatley. Honorary pallbearers are members of the Second Baptist Youth Group and Deacons, and his grandsons, Bear, and Beckett.
Memorials may be made to Second Baptist Church Youth Group, 210 W. Mill St Malvern.
