John (Johnny) Looney Jr., age 81, of Malvern, AR, passed away on May 29, 2024, in his home. Johnny was born on July 3, 1942, in El Paso, TX, the son of John Loyd Looney Sr. and Jane McMichael Looney. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and went on to retire, after 41 years, from the Trane Air Conditioning Plant. He was also known as a car enthusiast. Johnny was a member of Mineola, TX - First Baptist Church.

Johnny is preceded in death by his parents, one sister, two brothers, and two nephews.

Left to cherish his memory, loving wife of 60 years, Katie Looney; sons, John Looney III (Kim) of Albuquerque, NM, Clay Looney (Crystal) of Malvern; brother, Charles D. Looney of Longview, TX; grandchildren, Brad Combs, Katherine Looney, Rebecca Looney, Preston Looney, Makayla Looney, Carson Looney; and great-grandchildren, Rayleigh and Brynlee.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 2nd, from 1-3pm at the Regency Funeral Home Chapel, with the funeral service starting at 3pm, with Rev. Jimmy Hughes officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Elite Hospice or Arkansas Children's Hospital.
