John Thomas McDade, 85, of Malvern passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2022 at Arbor Oaks.  He was born April 17, 1937, in Donaldson, the son of the late Cecil and Elsie Tarkington McDade.  He worked in maintenance for the Baroid Chemical Plant and Malvern Brick and Tile.  John enjoyed hunting, fishing, dancing, cooking and was an avid Razorback fan.  He also enjoyed spending time with his family.  He is preceded in death by the wife, Johnnie Ruth McDade; former wives, Dorothy Sue McDade and Grace Francis McDade; sisters, Martha Matthews and Alta Cline; granddaughter, Shan McDade and an infant brother.

Survivors, sons, Thomas McDade of Malvern and DeWayne McDade (Marilyn) of Springdale, AR; daughter, Derenda Burns (Jay) of Malvern; step-sons, Perry Scott (Brenda) of Malvern, Debbie Couch of Malvern and Ginger Owezarak; brothers, Marvin McDade (Shirley) of Donaldson and James McDade (Linda) of Central; sister, Loraine Swinnea (Fred) of Alabama; grandchildren, Jake McDade, Daniele McDade, Stephanie McKinley (Keith) Michael Higdon, Rebecca Higdon, Kass Hogue, Leslie Smith, Ruth Smith, Tyler Scott, Kristi Lester, Scott Couch, Tim Scott, Nathan Couch, Josh Hilyard and Mae Owezarzak; numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Saturday, November 19 at 11:00am at Regency Funeral Home with Brother Greg Belser and Brian McDade officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service.  Burial will follow at Ouachita Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Ethan Chambers, Jake McDade, Paul McDade, Josh Hilyard, Andrew Tucker and Tyler Scott.  Honorary pallbearers will be Herman Hixon, AJ Hixon, Jerry Whatley and Roy McKim.
