John Weldon, age 68, of Malvern passed away on Monday, September 27, 2021 at his home.  He was born September 20, 1953, in Malvern, the son of the late J.L. and Betty Tanner Weldon.  John served in the Arkansas National Guard from 1972-1980.  He loved to play golf, ride motorcycles and drive his corvette convertible.  He was of the Baptist faith and a Christian.  John watched Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church services regularly via Facebook due to his health. Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy Weldon and son, Jake Weldon.

Survivors, wife, whom he married on January 24, 1974, Brenda Weldon; daughter, Jennifer Weldon; grandchildren, Kyah (Caleb), Justin (Destini), Chelcee (Joe) and Joey; great grandchildren, Oliver and Gracyn; sisters-in-law, Debbie Meeks (Rickey) and Gloria Anderson.  John is also survived by many cousins, whom he loved and two special cousins, Kay Weldon and Marshall Tanner.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 30 at 2:00pm at Regency Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Green officiating.  Visitation will be held from 12noon until service time.  Burial will follow at Harp Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Doyle Huneycutt, Mark Wheatley, Mark White, Randy Strother, Michael Smith, Orlen Wiley, Mike Catlett and Pete Eudy.  Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Ed Costello, Higginbotham Family Clinic nurses and staff, DeVita Kidney Center staff, Arkansas Hospice, Bill Scrimshire and all the Hot Spring County Courthouse Staff.
