Obituary

Johnny Dyer 83, of Malvern, Arkansas died on Friday, September 15, 2023.

After graduation from Malvern High School in 1957, he joined the Navy and served from 1958 to 1962. He followed in his father's footsteps, as a union Master Electrician working at Dyer's Electric initially, many years of commercial and residential construction, and then later working for Reynolds Metal Co. in Jones Mill. He continued to work in residential construction until his retirement in 2001.

He and Sharon enjoyed 38 years of marriage.

Johnny loved the game of golf and participated in various tournaments all over Arkansas.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Opal (Elise) Dyer and his father, J. B. Dyer.

Survivors are his wife, Sharon Dyer; her daughters, Leslie Chown (Matt), Dru Drummond (Eddie); his daughters, Cheryl Ray (Ricky), Cindy Forbes (Mark); grandchildren, Dustin Ray, Hannah Ray Denhartog (William), Rachel Ray (Cameron), Landon Forbes, Colin Forbes (Madison), Brady Forbes (Abby), Ryan Forbes, Haley Berg (Steven), Josh Chown (Taylor) and Jessie Chown; great-grandchildren, Tatum Denhartog, Beckett Forbes, one on the way due March 2024 and Jeremy Hartley.

There will be a memorial visitation 5:00 until 7:00 PM on Tuesday, September 19th at Regency Funeral Home.
