Joseph (Joe) DeKalb Faucett was born May 15, 1930, in Little Rock to the late Junius Pleasant and Louisa Wylie Faucett.

Joe was reared and educated in Carthage, AR, and was a Korean War veteran having served in Germany.  On June 1, 1952, Joe married Wanda Joy Brooks.  He retired from Natural Gas Pipeline Company in 1986, and then enjoyed working part-time for Regency Funeral Home.  Joe liked to fish, camp, travel, and garden.  His biggest hobbies were watching ballgames and mowing his lawn.

Joe was a devout member of Keith United Methodist Church where he served in every capacity from Chair of the Board of Trustees to Sunday School teacher.  He was a 32nd Degree Mason and member of Rockport Lodge No. 58 where he was Past Master and where he received the Pillar of Solomon Award. He also served on the Board of the Malvern Housing Authority.

In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by siblings William Faucett, Wylie Faucett, Beth Caughman Bridwell, and Louise Tillery.  Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 72 years, Joy, his daughter June Prince (Dennis), grandson Corey Prince, granddaughter Amber Prince Rozzell (George), great-grandchildren Margot and Graham Rozzell.  He is also survived by sisters-in-law Lois Faucett and Jean Brooks, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Joe's life will be celebrated on Sunday, July 21, 2024, with services at Regency Funeral Home in Malvern beginning with visitation at 1 p.m., service at 2 p.m., with Rev. Jeff Ladd officiating and burial at Lono Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Corey Prince, George (Mickey) Rozzell, Roy Brooks, Brooks Crowder, Wayne Hittle, and Courtney Moore.  Honorary pallbearers will be members of Keith United Methodist Church and Rockport Lodge No. 58.

Special thanks to the staff of Arbor Oaks Healthcare, and particularly the Lighthouse Unit, for the compassionate care given to Joe during his residency.
