Dianna Kaye (Jones) White, 65, of Friendship, Arkansas passed away at home August 31, 2022.  She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Herman and Leona Jones of Vidor, Texas, and Homer and Emeleene Sharpe of Malvern, Arkansas.

She was athletic as a young woman and set many records in track at Glen Rose High School. She would go to Malvern High School to practice run against the boys track team, they didn't let her for long though and some say it hurt the boys self-esteem.  She even went to the Olympic trials. There was no way we were outrunning her when we got into trouble. Of course, we would never run anyway, because she was also a competitive kickboxer in Andrews, Texas when we were young children. She loved horses and was snake bitten as a teenager trying to keep her horse from drowning. She ponied horses at Oaklawn in her spare time. She also spent many years playing softball in Malvern and Hot Springs in her 30s on the same team her sister and mother played on.

She eventually bought one of her first dairy goats, a Nubian named Ellie. This is important because she would say often how much she hated Nubians. She was a National Award Winning Toggenburg, Oberhasli, and Saanen Dairy Goat breeder. She traveled the country attending goat shows with her friends and grandchildren and has a box of Grand Champion and Best in Show ribbons to prove it. She was also a dairy goat show judge. She passed along her gifts of animal husbandry to many youths over the years and was very proud of that.

She loved Red Lobster, her visits to Alaska to see Pate and for King Crab and loved oysters on the half shell.  She loved to send pictures of her seafood to those of us that weren't enjoying it with her. She was an avid deer hunter and spent every deer season at camp in Hollywood, Arkansas.  Her whole year was scheduled around the time she got to spend at deer camp with her dad, brother and relatives from Texas.  She often out hunted the men.

She raised award winning dairy goats and strong independent children. She will be missed by many. We hope that when she gets to Heaven there are Buffalo slots, sweet tea and RuPaul's Drag Race.

She is survived by her loving partner, George Thurber; parents, Nathan and Marita Jones of Malvern, AR; children, Tina Rogers, Angela Allmon (Jason), and Pate White (Crystal). She was a grandmother to Lauren Ledbetter, Hailee Taylor, Tucker Norris, Jarred Rogers, Addison Norris, and Malaynee White. She has three great-grandchildren, Asa, Maddox, and Charli Ledbetter. She loved her stepchildren Lisa Carpenter (J.D.), Shawn Thurber (Kristi), Laura Parish (Matt) and her bonus grandchildren, Haydn Thurber, Kyle Thurber, and Megan Tate.

We could never thank all the people enough who helped us over the course of her illness, but we would like to give special thanks to Lori Eudy for the care and compassion she showed Mom over the last several months.

There will be a small gathering for close friends and family at her home in Friendship on Monday, September 5th at 5:00 pm.
