Larry Burris, 75, of Malvern passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2022, at National Park Medical Center.  He was born August 12, 1946, in Malvern, the son of the late Verner Lester and Ruth Jane Grissom Burris.  He was also preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Bob Herrington. Larry served in the United States Navy, aboard the USS Durham during the Vietnam War. He worked for Reynolds Metals/Alcoa for over 30 years as a chemical analyst and plant buyer. He was a member of North Malvern Assembly of God Church.  Larry was an avid craftsman, spending many years (a lifetime) working alongside his partner-in-crime and loving wife, Marsha.  Together they completed numerous projects, including building and restoring many houses.  He treasured time spent with grandchildren, the joys of his life.  Most of those hours entailed singing crazy songs, playing chase, and laughing at each other.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Marsha Green Burris of Malvern; daughters, Tami Burris Green (Keith) of Arkadelphia and Kelli Burris Beene (Dustin) of Malvern; grandchildren, Kinley and Madi Green, Hayden Woods, and Lydia Beene (arriving soon); step-grandchildren, Noah, Addison, and Kipton Beene; sisters, Jane Herrington and Margaret Mays (Ronnie) of Malvern; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 24, from 6:00-8:00pm at Regency Funeral Home in Malvern.

Services will be Friday, March 25, at 10:00am at North Malvern Assembly of God Church with Reverend Keith Pennington and Brother Mike Green officiating.  Burial will follow at Rockport Memorial Garden.  Pallbearers will be: David Hibbs, Donald Paul Haney, Sam Hamm, Joe Johnson, Keith Green, Dustin Beene, Brian Herrington, and Brent Herrington.  Honorary Pallbearers include: Mike Burris and Dean Traywick.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

The family would like to give a special "thank you" to Ms. Lynn Reeves of The Caring Place in Hot Springs, recent care-giver Kathy Langley, and the staff of the Respiratory Unit at National Park Medical Center in Hot Springs.
