Larry Dale Fowler, an electrician and resident of Malvern, Arkansas passed away March 24, 2022 at the age of 76. Larry was born in Benton, Arkansas on March 5, 1946. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Irene Bookout, Melvin Bookout and Olen Fowler; his wife, Gloria Fowler; step- daughter, Cathy Laird; grandson, John Dwire and siblings Marvin, Paul, Linda, Brenda, and Melva Ray.

He is survived by his daughters, Paula and husband Brian Little and Melissa and husband Ray Dwire; stepdaughters, Tracy Gomez and Sheryl Ames; grandchildren Casey Laird, Valerie Hargrove, Luke Laird, Nicole Dwire, Brianna Little, Braeden Little, Quinten Little, Kiara Little, Alexis Gomez, Trey Gomez, Isaac Ames, Durand Ames and great grandchildren Taylor, Sebastian, Emily, Talon, Gabriella, Alilya, Ed, Jack and Andrew. He was loving and known to his grandchildren, nieces and nephews as "Pop".

Larry graduated from Little Rock Technical High School and was then drafted into the United States Army in 1965. He served his country in the Vietnam War as a combat engineer and received medals for overseas service, National Defense, marksmanship and good conduct.

After an honorable discharge, he returned home, married his first wife, Dotty Fowler and opened Okay Signs with his father in Okay, Oklahoma. Larry then moved to Oregon, remarried Gloria Fowler and grew his sign business where many of those signs remain today.

For the last 30 years he has been at home in Malvern, Arkansas working in the union as an electrician and enjoying his property and cows. He was well known for his negotiations and rock solid deals with a handshake. Larry could be found most Thursdays at the auction buying and selling cattle. If you were lucky to be near his home during feed time you'd see all the cows come running as he bellowed "Come on".

Although Larry lived most of his life, in his own words, "Damn near perfect", he consistently found ways to ease the burdens of those around him and made sure that after any interactions with him, you knew that he "appreciated you". He truly never met a stranger and treated everyone like family. Larry Fowler will be deeply missed by his family and this community.
