Jane went home to the Lord on Sunday, June 9th, 2024 at the age of 77, following complications that arose during the treatment of an ongoing illness, and has reunited with her husband and best friend, James R. Kimzey, who preceded her in death on September 10th, of 2023.

She was born February 10th, 1947, to Rufus Garland Bruton and Evelyn Mae Shafer Bruton of Dumont, CO. She grew up in Grand Junction, Colorado and was introduced to the Lord in the First Congregational Church of Grand Junction and developed her relationship with the Lord as a member of the Jobs daughters, setting the inspiration for her uplifting spirit that she maintained throughout her life and passed on to others with love and compassion for all.

She has left behind a sister, Mary Anne Sutela (Rey) of Vancouver, WA; a son, John Kimzey (Amy) of Cove, AR; two daughters from Jim's previous marriage, Brenda Kimzey (Ron Radoichin) of Sun City, AZ: Judy Kimzey (Mike Simpson) of Van Alstyne, TX; and four Grand children in; Kelsey Hill, of Seattle, WA; Nathan Kimzey (Shannon), of Magnet Cove, AR, Brett Hill (Sarah), of Phoenix, AZ; and Benjamin Kimzey of St, Louis, MO; and her Great Granddaughter Miss Aurora Kimzey of Magnet Cove, AR; and various cousins spread across Arkansas, Colorado and New Mexico.

Jane obtained her BA from University of the Ozarks in 1987 and soon struck out to start her own business in Ft. Smith, AR, The Basket Case the very next year. Her insight and business savvy soon proved a success as her business was a pioneer in the area for the all occasions, specialty gift baskets filled with floral arrangements, imported gourmet foods, specialty ground coffee, pampering products and quality gifts. When 2001 came, she and Jim decided it was time to write a new chapter in their life together and retire to Jim's home community. Selling her business and setting about designing and building their new house on the family farm, she soon found new interests in learning all that she could about the local Geology, forestry, and land conservation in order to create a successful and sustainable tree farm and grasslands and grandparenting with Jim. Spending hours each evening sharing what each other had learned or experienced became a revitalization of their spirits, which was noted by friends and family and all that they met.

She has been an active member and volunteered to act in various leadership roles within the Magnet Cove United Methodist Church since moving into their new home after retirement. Being inspired and inspiring others became one of her greatest joys as she sought to uplift and support the community and her church for the past 23 years. Most recently taking on a leadership role within the BSF, Bible Study organization and was engaged in their international studies programs; continuing to learn and help others from across the globe.

All friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Life, memorial which will be held August 17th, in the community hall at the Magnet Cove UMC from 3pm to 5 pm.  Internment will be a private ceremony for the family.
