Lavelle Morphew Vaught, 94, of Malvern passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2023.  She was born August 13, 1928, in Langley, Arkansas the daughter of the late Millard and Nettie Miller Morphew.  She owned and operated Lavelle's Beauty Shop for many years.  She was an active member of Third Baptist Church and the Sunshine Class.  Lavelle enjoyed collecting dishes and loved her cabin on the Caddo River.  Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Rufus Paul Vaught and brother, Dean Morphew.

Survivors, brothers, Bill Morphew, Bob Morphew (Patsy), Terry Morphew (Pat) and Larry Morphew (Anne); sisters, Shirley Blair (Marvin), LaVerne Widener, Faye Holmes, Maye Pate and Vonda Vines and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Thursday, January 26 at 11:00am at Third Baptist Church with Brother Tom Strike and Larry Morphew officiating.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to service.  Burial will be at Rockport Cemetery.  Honorary pallbearers will be Glenna Williams, Betty Cotton, Frances Layman, Jim Paul Franks and Mark and Cindy White.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Third Baptist Church, 817 West Young, Malvern, AR 72104.
