Obituary

Lenora Jane Bell, age 88, of Malvern, AR, passed away on Monday, May 12, 2025. She was born on November 29, 1936 in Malvern, AR, the daughter of Elder Oscar and Francise Galloway Beard. Lenora worked as a secretary for the VA Hospital for many years before working for the Hot Spring Co. Memorial Hospital as a medical transcriber. She was a member of Meadowview Missionary Baptist Church, but had served as a teacher and treasurer at Butterfield Missionary Baptist Church. Lenora was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star number 501 and 378, and a member of the Business and Professional Women's Group. She enjoyed oil painting and quilting.

Lenora is preceded in death by her parents, husband of 39 years, Tom Bell; brothers, Franklin Beard and James Beard; sisters, Francise Abbott and Nancy Millsaps; and grandson Stephen Vining.

Left to cherish her memory, daughters, Terri Vining (Fred) of Russellville, Rhonda Bell of Malvern, and Teresa Johnson (David) of Malvern; brother, Donald Ray Beard of Mississippi; brother in-law, Floyd Abbott; sisters in-law, Pearl Beard and Erika Beard; grandchildren, Brent Vining, Carrie Freeman (Tyler), Lisa Chaffin, Elizabeth Wickert (Robert) and Matthew Johnson (Jill); great-grandchildren, Madison Day Sowards (Noah), Andi Johnson, Savannah Chaffin, Trace Chaffin, Mackinzie Freeman, Courtney Freeman, Natalie Freeman, Elijah Freeman, Mason Johnson, Lilly Johnson, and William Wickert; great great-grandchild, Harlow Sowards; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 16th, from 9-10am at Regency Funeral Home, with the funeral starting at 10am, with Bro. Shaun Holland officiating. Burial to follow at Fairplay Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Fred Vining, Brent Vining, Tyler Freeman, Ernest Beard, Kevin Whitley, and Dustin Colvin. Honorary pallbearers are Floyd Abbott, David Johnson, Kevin Abbott, Robert Wickert, and Wendell Abbott.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Meadowview Missionary Baptist Church.
