Lois June Cook of Malvern, AR, went home to be with her Lord and loved ones on May 28, 2025. Lois was born in Lafe, AR, on November 4, 1932.

Lois was taught the value of trusting God, valuing the family, and working hard as she grew up in the depression as the daughter of a sharecropper. Her family eventually moved and settled in Kansas City, KS, where her father found work on the railroad. She watched her father walk 3 miles one way to work and back every day to a job of hard labor and watched her mother take care of the house and family at home every day. She took those lessons into her adult life and was a devoted homemaker, wife, and mother. Joe traveled the world serving in the military, and she was always by his side, kids in tow, serving alongside him, supporting him, and raising three kids. The family settled back in Arkansas where Joe had been raised after he retired. Lois found great joy and contentment in staying at home, taking care of the kids, and later the grand kids. Her love and devotion for her family cannot be overstated and she will be sorely missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John Thomas and Flora Howerton, and her husband of 43 years, Joe Cook.

She is survived by her sons, Joe (Crystal) and Jon (Nancy) Cook, her daughter, Stephanie Cook, her grandchildren Sarah, Shelby, Makayla, Leah, and Micah Cook, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at Centerview Missionary Baptist Church on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at 11am. There will be a visitation opportunity at the church starting at l0am. Brother Joe Cook will officiate the services.
