Lynda Lackey Shannon, age 86, of Bedford, Indiana (formerly of Malvern), passed away April 26, 2026.  She was born July 6, 1939 to the late John and Hilda Lackey.  She was retired from Ford Motor Company and was of the Baptist faith.

She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Scott Meeks; grandson, Tyler Shannon; and brother, Don Lackey.

Survivors include her husband, Chris Shannon; sons, Gary Meeks (Rhonda) and Steve Weldon; nieces, Donna Wallace (Jeff) and Ronda Swayze (Ron); nephew, Ronnie Lackey (Tonya); and cousin, Harris Moore.

A Graveside Memorial Service will be held for both Lynda and her son, Scott Meeks, on Saturday, May 30, at 10:00AM at Rockport Cemetery with Bro. Ron Hutson officiating.
