Mark Alan Freer, a devoted husband, father, brother, and papaw, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, August 30th, 2025 at the age of 54. Born on May 5th, 1971 in Fordyce, AR, Mark lived a life full of love, laughter, and service to others.

Mark was a phenomenal football coach and educator, admired for his dedication to his students and athletes. He loved his Leopards and poured his heart into the game, always striving to encourage, mentor, and support those around him. Beyond the field, Mark had an incredible gift for building, fixing, and creating—always ready to work on something new or lend a helping hand.

He was known for his humor, his faith, and the way his laughter could light up a room. Friends, colleagues, and former students have shared countless memories with his family, a true testament to the love and impact he had on his community.

Above all, Mark was most proud of his family. He was the number one supporter of his children and cherished the beautiful life he and his wife built together. His devotion to his family was unmatched, and his legacy will live on in the love they continue to share.

Mark is survived by his loving wife, Stephenie Freer; his children, Harlan Jones and his wife Amanda, Bryce Freer and his wife Hannah, Parker Freer and Chloe Aylett, Neelah Agus, and Addilynn Freer; his grandchildren, Haiden Jones and Hadleigh Jones; and his siblings, Charlotte and Michael Thomas and Lisa and Lee Kuykendall. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sonny and Marilyn Freer, and his brother Craig Freer.

A celebration of Mark's life will be held on Saturday, September 6th, 2025. Visitation and the Service will be held at the Malvern High School Gymnasium. The visitation will be held from 11am to 12pm. The Service will be held at 12:30pm. Family and friends are invited to gather and honor Mark, an incredible man whose spirit will live on through all those who loved him.

Pallbearers will be Parker Freer, Bryce Freer, Tyler Strother, Harlan Jones, Tommy Ball, and Skyler Kimmerly. Honorary pallbearers will be all the coaching staff and teachers at Malvern High School that worked with Mark throughout his career.
