Marvin "Speck" Scott, 81, of Gourdneck passed away Thursday, April 13, 2023.  He was born November 10, 1941 in Ashdown, AR the son of the late Harold and Ulma Underwood Scott.  Speck was owner and operator of American Window Specialties.  He was a member of Butterfield Missionary Baptist Church, Malvern Hunting Club and Rockport Masonic Lodge #58.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching the Razorbacks.  Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Bobby Scott and Jackie Scott.

Survivors, wife, whom he married on November 21, 1962, Linda Teague Scott; sons, Mark Scott (Karen) of Gourdneck and Shane Scott (Renee) of Gourdneck; brother, Franklin Scott (Molly) of Hot Springs; grandchildren, Alyssa Whitney (Josh), Josh Scott (Kasey), Caitlin Dodson (Blake), Morgan Long and Garrett Long; great grandchildren, Hudson and Hayes Whitney, Bryce and Colbi Dodson and Hadlee Scott and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Monday, April 17 at 2:30pm at Butterfield Missionary Baptist Church with Brother Bobby Goodknight officiating.  Visitation will begin at 1:00pm at the church.  Burial will follow at Magnet Cove Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Gene Scott, Jason Scott, Jeremy Scott, Mitchell Teague, Shane Byrd and Paul Hughes.  Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Malvern Hunting Club and the Adult Sunday School Class at Butterfield Missionary Baptist Church.
