Magnet Cove

Obituary

Mary Marie McClard, 60, of Magnet Cove, was called home on December 14 to take care of her grandbabies in heaven.

Mary was born to the late Leonard and Wanda Cogburn, September 14 in Mena, Arkansas. She was predeceased by her parents Leonard and Wanda, father and mother-in-law, Charles and Zola McClard, sister Betty, 3 grandchildren Alexander, Aydin and Jazmine.

She met the love of her life in 1976, they married June 24, 1978, in Paron, and they were inseparable, and her boys were her whole world! Mary enjoyed the outdoors with friends and family, going on long camping trips creating memories. Mary graduated with her GED in 1992 from Ouachita Technical College, a moment she was so very proud of. Mary was a member of the Magnet Cove Public School District for over 26 years and loved being around the kids daily. She was a true mother at heart, treating every child as her own and was known to take in a few over the years. She was a mother you could always count on, didn't matter if you were her blood, she would be there for you. Mary loved her family and friends and gave them her whole heart, always making you feel welcomed. A breast cancer survivor and a strong caring soul who always put others before herself.

She's survived by her husband of 43 years, Charles "Buddy" McClard, her son Thomas and his fiancé Samantha and their three children, son Michael, daughter Tisha and her husband Tony and their three children, two great grandchildren, five brothers, one sister, a huge family, and the Magnet Cove Community.

Love you to the moon and back!
