She was born May 24, 1928 in the Big Creek Community to the late Henry and Blanche Burrow.  Mary worked for many years at the Fabric Center in Malvern. She later worked for the U.S. Postal Service as a rural mail carrier on the former Route 2, Malvern. She retired in 1993 following 18years of service with the post office. Mary was a faithful member of Big Creek Missionary Baptist Church where she was saved and baptized at a young age. She served as a Sunday school teacher for many years. She loved her church family and attended regularly until her health declined and she became unable to attend as much as she desired.

Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Truman L. Taylor, her brothers, Melvin, Harold, and Jimmy Burrow, sisters, Evelyn Givens and Agatha Lynn Burrow.

Survivors are her children Becky Gibbs (Don), Janet Davenport (Jerry), Paul Taylor (Barbara) all of Malvern, five grandchildren, Chris Davenport (Sherri) of Kennesaw, GA., Laurie Webb (Stephen) of Lewisburg, KY., Amy Thompson (Brent) of Malvern, Marc Taylor (Leah) of Jonesboro, and Marty Taylor (CaSandra) of Jessieville.
