Matthew J. Buffington, age 40, of Malvern, Arkansas, formerly of Gloucester Township, New Jersey passed away on December 22, 2025.

Beloved husband of Kelly and "bonus dad" of Ryder. Loving son of Donna Douglass (Joseph) and Arthur Buffington (Sherri). Dear brother of AJ Buffington (Brittany), Nicole Camano (Rob), Michael Buffington (Cristi), and Joe Douglass (Angie). Also survived by many nieces, nephews, family and friends who will miss him deeply.

Matthew proudly served in the United States Navy, stationed at Naval Air Station Lemoore, CA, and attached to the USS Abraham Lincoln. He found joy in being outdoors- fishing pole in his hand, mud on the tires of a four-wheeler, and a dog curled up beside him. The outdoors wasn't just a hobby for him-it was where he felt most himself, most at peace.

There will be a visitation from 9:00am to 11:00am on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at Gardner Funeral Home, Runnemede. Memorial service will begin at 11:00am

Inurnment to follow at Atco Cemetery located at 2242 Bartram Ave, Atco, NJ 08004.

In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in Matthew's name to the Gary Sinese Foundation or a charity of your choice.

Local arrangements were provided by Regency Funeral Home.

Final arrangements are being handled by Gardner Funeral Home in Runnemede, New Jersey.
