Melva Boyett, 82, of Malvern passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2022.  She was born October 2, 1939, in DeRoche, Arkansas the daughter of the late Elmer Jewel and Pearl Simon Burris.  Melva was a member of Ouachita Missionary Baptist Church.  She enjoyed hunting, fishing, crocheting, gardening, and her flowers.  Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Juanita Whitley and brothers, Hansel Burris, Haskill Burris, Carl Burris, and Charles Burris.

Survivors, husband of 67 years, Roy Lee "Bo" Boyett; sons, Gary Boyett (Vickie) of Malvern, Jerry Boyett of Malvern and Scott Boyett (Holli) of Hope; brother, Leon Burris (Patty) of Donaldson; grandchildren, Jennifer Pennington (Greg), Danny Boyett (Jennifer), Dirk Boyett, Micah Boyett (Shellie), Jonathon Boyett, Austin Boyett, and Julianne Boyett; great grandchildren, Hunter Pennington (Kiley), Luke Pennington, Beau Pennington, Maddy Steely (Bryson), Preslee Boyett, Grayson Boyett, Taylor Boyett, Tobin Boyett, Grace Gilbert, Hudson Boyett, Emerson Boyett, Easton Boyett, Gina Boyett; great-great grandchild, Hazel Pennington and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 27 at 11:00am at Regency Funeral Home with Brother Ricky Miller and Brother Danny Harmon officiating.  Visitation will begin at 10:00am.  Burial will follow at Ouachita Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Danny Boyett, Dirk Boyett, Micah Boyett, John McBride, Keith Starkey, and Ken Whitley.
