Mildred Louise Witherspoon, age 94, passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at Arbor Oaks Healthcare in Malvern. Mildred was born on May 20, 1930, to Elbert Moore and Cleffie Robinson Moore in the Big Creek Community. She attended Malvern Schools. She enjoyed going to the Malvern Senior Adult Center, visiting with friends, and playing games. She loved traveling on bus tours and meeting new people. Mildred was an exceptional dessert baker and was always ready to prepare a dessert for special occasions. She was very proud to say she was the oldest member of her church, Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church and loved to attend until her health failed.

She was preceded in death by her husband George Witherspoon; her parents; her brother, Edward Moore and his wife Isora; nephew, Calvin Moore; and niece Patricia Ross.

Left to cherish her memory, sons, Richard Witherspoon (Faye) of Butterfield and Gary Witherspoon (Pat) of Gifford; 3 grandchildren, Shawn Witherspoon (Angela) of Minnesota, Chris Witherspoon of Little Rock, and Amber Garrison (Jon) of Conway; 8 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great grandchildren and one due in November.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 1st, from 9:30-10am at Big Creek Cemetery, with the graveside service starting at 10 am, with Bro. Donis Smead officiating.

The family would like to give special thanks to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Arbor Oaks Healthcare and Rehab for their wonderful care.
