Nell Bearden Thorn, 93, of Malvern passed away Friday April 29, 2022, at her home. She was born September 4, 1928 in Anson, Texas the daughter of Robert and Lula Whitney Bearden. She was a homemaker and member of the Ouachita Missionary Baptist Church. Nell loved to sew, read, go camping but most of all spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Willie Ray Thorn Sr. and nine siblings.

Survivors are her son, Ray Thorn Jr., of Doyline, Louisiana; daughter, Shirley Draper (husband Robert) of Malvern; grandchildren, Bart Draper (wife, Kristal) of Malvern, Robin Sales (husband, Jay) of Panama City, FL., Ray Thorn III of Haughton, LA and Carrie Kosienski of Malvern; great grandchildren, Colton Newton (wife Terra), Kennedy Henry (husband, Dalton), Mya McCormick (husband, Chance), Rio Thorn, Drake Kosienski, Slade Kosienski and Dominick and Noah Draper; great-great grandchildren, Draper Lee and Charli Newton, Kelton Henry and numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Visitation will be Monday, May 2, from 6:00-8:00pm at Regency.

Funeral Services will be Tuesday, May 3, at 2:00pm at Ouachita Missionary Baptist Church with Brothers Ricky Miller and Rickey Poynor officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers are Bart Draper, Ray Thorn III, Colton Newton, Drake Kosienski, Rio Thorn, Dominick and Noah Draper. Honorary pallbearers are Jay Sales, Dalton Henry, Slade Kosienski, Kelton Henry, Draper Newton and one on the way.
