Novella Shuffield Hardage, age 101, of Bismarck passed away Thursday November 24, 2022 at Arbor Oaks Healthcare. She was born January 15, 1921, in Bismarck, Arkansas the daughter of Herman and Era Thomas Shuffield. She had taught school at Possum Trot, worked for National Rejectors and was a homemaker. Novella was longtime member of the DeRoche Missionary Baptist Church. Novella loved to read, sew, any sports especially the Razorbacks and her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of seventy-one years, J.R. Hardage Sr.; son, J.R. Hardage Jr.; grandson, Kyle Hardage and seven siblings, Denver, John, J.D., Clinton, Denzel, Jean, and Joyce.

Survivors are her son, Craig Hardage (wife, Leyla) of Irving, TX; daughter, Kay Burns, (husband, Randy) of Bismarck; grandchildren, Jason Hardage (Brenda), Jeffrey Burns, Alan Gonzales, Amanda Hardage, Charidy Evans (Richard); six great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Tuesday, November 29, from 5:00-7:00pm at Regency Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 30, at 10:00am at Regency Funeral Home with Brother Chris Morrison and Phillip Shuffield officiating. Burial will follow in DeRoche Cemetery. Pallbearers are Alan Gonzales, Jason Hardage, Keith Hardage, Jimmy Shuffield, Stan Prince, Phillip Shuffield and Johnny Shuffield.
