Obituary

Olcen Walter Brown Jr., age 80 of Malvern passed away Thursday May 1, 2025 at CHI-Hot Springs. He was born November 17, 1944 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri the son of Olcen Walter and Cecile Taylor Brown Sr. He was retired from the United States Air Force after 27 years. Olcen loved to hunt, read and study his bible and was a member of Crossroads Missionary Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two grandchildren.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 22 years, Cindy Brown, children, Sherri Lynn Brown of Wilkesboro, N.C., Roy Walter Brown of Middleburg, FL., Kathleen Elizebeth Schuarmann (Gutz) of Germany, John E. Brown of Hot Springs, Roy Lynn Brown Jr., (Ashley) of Malvern, and Marilyn Jeannette Brown of Dewitt, Jessica Renee Goyne, and Justain Leeland Thomas both of Malvern, Micheal Lee Thomas (Cami) of Chester, VA., and Brianna Brown of Malvern, brothers, Tom Brown (Sheryl) Sarasota, FL., and Rodney B. Brown, and sister, Bonnie Haitsma both of Elkhart, IN., nineteen grandchildren and one great-great grandson and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held Thursday May 8, 2025 at 2PM at Crossroads Missionary Baptist Church with Brother Bob Wiegel and Andrew Brown officiating. Full Military Honors will be rendered by the US Air Force.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital, American Society, or the CHI-Hot Springs Hospital.
