Obituary

Iva Pearl Frye Darrow Rogers, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away peacefully at Southern Grace Care Home on April 1, 2023, at the age of 99 years and 10 months. Born on June 2, 1923, in Childress, Texas the sixth of eight children of William R. Frye and Sarah Risinger Frye.  She was a member of the North Main Church of Christ for nearly sixty years where she taught Sunday School and was always ready to help in the work of the church. "Miss Pearl was the very example of a Christian woman. She will be missed," a church member said of her.
Pearl enjoyed many activities in the community, especially as a member of the 4 Seasons Garden Club, Happy Painters, and Sweet Adeline's.
Early in her working life she was a beautician, and later worked at Lake Catherine Footwear, and Pratt Elementary Cafeteria. She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Charles L. Darrow of Malvern; second husband, Kenneth Rogers of Oklahoma City and seven siblings.


Pearl is survived by her two daughters, Sharon Darrow Phillips (husband, Jerry) and Nancy Darrow Davis (husband, Jeff), and their children, Kristen Harmon, Elizabeth Harmon Langwith (Scott), Stephanie Harmon Miner (Chad), Kimball Davis (Melissa), Keith Davis (Denise), Kari Davis Raney (Rodney), as well as her great-grandchildren, Amo Konkel-Harmon, Braden and Connor Langwith, Bronwyn and Sebastian Miner, C.J. and Grace Davis, Mason, Drew (Hayli), and Alex Davis, Ryan and Evan Raney. She will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, and scores of friends.

Memorial services will be held at Regency Funeral Home on Thursday, April 6 at 2:00pm with David Burruss officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service. Burial will follow at Rockport Memorial Gardens.  Pallbearers will be Mason Davis, Drew Davis, Alex Davis, C.J. Davis, Rodney Raney and Danny Phillips.
