Obituary

August 31, 2022 surrounded by her family our mom, Peggy Jane Finley, silently passed away. She was born April 9th, 1950, the youngest of three sisters to Eugene and Emogene Siratt. Our mom was fun loving, kind of a rebel, a free spirit with some hippy flare and sometimes a little crazy.

She considered her sisters, Burnell (Bob) McDaniel and Brenda (Bob) Williams her best friends. She also considered Linda (Mike) Bridges her soul sister.

Her kids, whom all claim to be her favorite, but she loved each one with her whole heart. Matt Finley, Shelley (Charlie) Henson, Tracie (Roger) Dyer, Starr (Erika) Finley and Shannon King whom she loved like a daughter.

Then there are her grandkids that seem to have put that sparkle back in her eyes. Derek (Jordan) Henson, Blake Henson, Haley Dyer aka her rock, Hannah (Mike) Hathcock, Eli Finley, Kylee Finley, Jill Garrison, Summer Edwards and Mollie Bain.

But just when she thought her heart was full her great grandkids came along. Westyn Henson, Lilly Norwood, Coulter Henson, Eden Henson, Holden Henson and Mackenzie Hathcock.

She also loved her nieces and nephew, Kay (John) Jones, Cathy Schultz, Chris (Brigette) Williams and DeeDee (Gary) Draper along with their families.

Mom loved all things hippy, butterflies, going to casinos, making Christmas candy, adult coloring books and playing 8 ball pool on her phone. She also used to play the piano and the guitar.

She had lots of family waiting with open arms to greet her on the other side. Her mom and dad; stepdad Pete Spice; two wonderful brothers-in-law, Bob McDaniel and Bob Williams;  aunt, MaryJo Voss;  niece, Gina Cutler; great niece, Jackie Jones; her 1st grandchild, Dusty Finley; ex-husband whom she still adored, David Finley and ex-mother in-law, she still loved very much Betty Finley.

Honorary pallbearers are Blake Henson, Derek Henson, Eli Finley, Roger Morrow, Charlie Ramey, Michael Hathcock, Travis Dyer and Aaron Norwood.
