Ramey L. Jones age 96, passed away Wednesday August 29, 2026 at his home. He was born December 7, 1929 in Jacinto, Arkansas the son of Porter and Frances Green Jones. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, and an engineer with television and cable companies in Louisiana, Texas and Oklahoma. Ramey was longtime member of the Reyburn Creek Missionary Baptist Church. He loved doing work around his home, deer hunting, fishing, and camping.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Lillie Mae Jones, siblings, Richard Jones, Faye Jones, Christine Chambers, Margaret Chambers, Merle, Earl, Wayne, Troy and Roy Jones.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Donna Rice (Mark) of Haughton, LA., Terri McCreary (Ken) of Paradise, TX., and Wade Jones (Meshelle) of Malvern, brothers, Clinton Jones (Linda) of Malvern, Auburn Jones (Linda) of Ft. Smith, AR., and sister-in-law, Sue Jones of Malvern, grandchildren, Jason Rice (Angela), Leanne Ashby (Seth), Amber Stubbs (Dustin), Levi Martin ( Kristen), Chelsie Martin, April Ortiz (Drew), Austin McCreary (Huey); great-grandchildren, Gunner Ashby, Anna Kate Ashby, Zachary Sanders, Dylan Smith, Ashton Smith, Irie Mabry, Briar Martin, Lenox Martin, Keira and Kayleigh McCreary, great-great grandchildren, Avery Sanders and Karsyn Ary, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be 10AM Saturday, August 29, 2026 in the Regency Chapel with Brother Todd Bray officiating. Burial will follow in Macedonia Cemetery west of Princeton.
Pallbearers will be Seth Ashby, Gunner Ashby, Jason Rice, Levi Martin, Lenox Martin, Dustin Stubbs, and Austin McCreary.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Taylor and Tyler Bray.
The family would like to a give special thanks to the nurses and staff at Elite Hospice for the kindness and care they showed Ramey.
Memorials may be made to the Macedonia Cemetery.
