Raymond J. Harris, 76, of Rockport departed this life on Thursday, October 28, 2021.  He was born June 6, 1945, in New Rochelle, New York to Dempsey Ray and Elizabeth Murphy Harris.  Raymond served in the U.S. Air force, he was a retired electrician for Reynolds Metals Company and an operator and plumbing inspector for North Malvern Water Association for several years.  Raymond enjoyed woodworking.

Survivors are his wife, Betty Sossamon Harris with whom he spent 55 wonderful years and his two daughters, Tammy Meador and Nancy Melton (Lloyd) of Malvern.  Other survivors were his pride and joy, his grandchildren, Dawnielle Hughes (Dallas) of Benton, Cheyenne Meador (Aaron), Raymond Melton and Amie Meador all of Malvern.  His bonus was his four great grandchildren, Macey Hughes, Alexis Wilson, Layla Meador and Dawson Evans, who called him "Poppie".  Raymond is also survived by one sister, Joyce Killebrew (Ney) of Berryville, four nieces and extended family.

Services will be held on Tuesday, November 2 at 2:00pm at Regency Funeral Home with Brother Pete Eifert officiating.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to service.  Burial will follow at Rockport Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Allen Maple, C.J. Wilson, Aaron Evans, Dallas Hughes, Tracy Parker and Chuck Neal.  Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Fredrick Hineman, Dr. Scott Slaygle, Hematologist Amy Cleveland and Dr. Chin.

The family request that everyone wear casual attire.
