Obituary

Raymond Louis Plunk, 75, of Malvern passed away on Saturday, April 15, 2023.  He was born December 7, 1947, in Malvern, the son of the late Raymond L.D. and Susie Mae Stewart Plunk.  Raymond served in the United States Air Force, serving in Turkey.  He was a truck driver for over 30 years.  He was a member of Old Field Missionary Baptist Church.  He loved watching old TV shows and traveling.  Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by his in-laws, Don and Mary Perry.

Survivors, wife whom he married on January 31, 1976, Sue Plunk of Malvern; son, Lance Ray Plunk of Malvern; daughter, Michelle Lee of Malvern; sister, Martha Jane Plunk of the Rolla community; uncle and aunt, James and Louise Stewart of Los Angles, California; brother and sister-in-law, Joey and Kari Perry of Gifford; sister-in-law, Judy Parker of Malvern and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews and special friends Mildred Whatley, Nancy Draper and Joyce Vaughn.

Services will be held Wednesday, April 19 at 2:00pm at Regency Funeral Home with Brother Joey Perry officiating.  Visitation will be held from 12:30-2:00pm.  Burial will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Jimmy Smoke, Ricky Smoke, Jeff Hedges, Brian Hedges, Mark Clift and Brent Whitley.  Honorary pallbearers will be Coulter Perry, Andrew Perry, Matthew Perry, Truck Driving Buddies from Stanage during the 60s and 70s, Jimmy Clift, Eugene Clift and Trent Medlin.
