Reta Renea (Jennifer) Helm, age 62, died peacefully Friday, July 26, 2024 at Hospice Home in Little Rock, after a lengthy illness. She was born January 6, 1962, to the late Bobby and Reta Bailey Helm. She was a loving daughter, sister, and friend. She was the third of four children born to her parents. Her greatest joy was being with family and being an aunt to her nieces and nephews.

Renea spent the first 18 years of her life growing up on Ridge Road. Raised as a farm girl, she enjoyed the simple treasures of life, learning to garden, ride horses, work cattle and show steer calves at the county fair. With her sisters and cousins, she dammed up the creeks to build swimming holes and fish in the ponds. She learned to be a good seamstress watching her mom and great aunt. Renea loved old photos and made albums of family mementos. She also loved driving her niece, Hannah around in her green convertible.

Renea was a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church on Ridge Road. She spent many summers going to Bible School and Bogg Springs Church Camp. Renea graduated from Malvern Highschool in 1980. She graduated from Henderson State University with an education degree and later an associate degree in medical coding. She worked at Baptist Health in Malvern and Little Rock before her health started to decline. She lived in Dallas, TX for a brief period where she worked for heart specialists at Dallas Memorial.

Preceding her in death are her parents, sister; Mona Lynn Helm of Hot Springs; niece, Jordan Lea Lewter of Malvern; and brother in- law, Victor Jordan of Prattsville.

She is survived by two sisters: Valerie Lea Helm of Malvern and Lesa Jordan of Prattsville; niece, Hannah Hilton (Andrew) of Monticello; nephews, Sam Jordan of Prattsville and Nick Stacey (Star) of Hot Springs; great nieces, Ava Jane and Andi Hilton; great nephews, Holt and Harrison Hilton; and a host of cousins and special friends from Hot Springs.

After cremation, a family graveside service will be held at Social Hill Cemetery where her cremains will be laid to rest beside her parents in the Helm family plot.

The family would like to give special thanks to the staff and caregivers at Hospice Home in Little Rock, for their heart felt and compassionate care.
