Rodger Dean Hooker Jr "Chip", 54, of Malvern left this life unexpectedly on October 31, 2021 to join his Heavenly Father, his parents and grandson, Braeden Hooker.  He was born April 13, 1967 to Rodger and Carolyn Sue Hooker.

Chip graduated Hot Springs High in 1985. Chip loved sports, where his favorite team was the Arkansas Razorbacks. He worked as a stocker for Kroger for 25 years before retiring. He worked at N&S in Little Rock for the last 4 years. He spent his free time watching or listening to the Razorbacks games. He spent most of his spare time with the pride and joys, his grand babies. Chip was always there to help relatives and friends with household projects or whatever else people needed him for. Chip was an avid jokester he loved to make others laugh and make light of any situation that he could. He will always be remembered for his numerous jokes.

Chip is survived by his son, Richard Hooker; daughter, Samantha Hooker (Trey); sister, Lois Ann Hooker; nephew, Lance Madden (Martha); niece, Lindsey Bulloch (Justin); great niece, Avery Bulloch; granddaughter and best friend, Ashlynn Cross along with adopted grandchildren Alexis, Tyler and Savannah Snow. Along with a host of adopted nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. Chip was a loving father, brother, uncle, papaw and friend to everyone.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 6 at 11:00am at Regency Funeral Home with Brother Lance Madden officiating.  Visitation will be one hour prior to service.
