Obituary

Ron Davidson, 78, of Magnet Cove passed away on Monday, December 5, 2022.  He was born June 7, 1944, in the Round Hill Community, the son of the late Garland Manuel and Euda Corine Fite Davidson. Ron served in the United States Army.  He worked as an electrician for AP&L at Carpenter Dam and worked for Kennerly Construction for 15 years.  Ron attended New Beginnings Baptist Church.  He was a member of Big Foot Hunting Club and the NRA.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his kids, grandkids, and his dogs. Ron was well loved, never met a stranger and always known by the hat he wore with his name on it.  Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by his grandson, Evan Andrew Davidson and brother-in-law, Tommy Beavers.

Survivors, wife of 58 years, Billie Beavers Davidson; sons, Ronald Matthew Davidson (Becky) of Magnet Cove and Donald Davidson (Kathy) of Jones Mill; daughter, Cathy Dickey of Magnet Cove; sister, Charlotte Brunner of Little Rock; grandchildren, Heather Penny (Paxton), Harley Davidson, Hannah Banks (Matt), Austin Davidson (Marlee Buchanan), Adam Davidson (Pristine), Ariel Davidson, Jace Dickey (Rose Blair), Jakeb Dickey (Sydney Klemm) and Savannah Dickey (Presley Wilson); great grandchildren, Kyler Penny, Kash Penny, Henley Davidson, Hadley Davidson, Brooklynn Banks, Eli Banks and Banks Charles Wilson and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 7 at 2:30pm at New Beginnings Baptist Church, 3603 Oliver Lancaster Blvd, Malvern.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Greg Whorton and Dr. Stephen Divers at Genesis Cancer Center, his neighbor, Beverley Cowart, and sisters-in-law, Chris Dodson, Willie Smelser and Sue Beavers.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made at Southern Bancorp for Billie Davidson.
