Ronald "Ronnie" Eldon Ledbetter, age 72, of Donaldson passed away Friday, July 22, 2022, at his home. Ronnie was born March 21, 1950, in Winchester, Arkansas the son of the Earl Delmar and Lois Opal Martin Ledbetter. He was raised in Caney, AR graduated from Bismarck High School in 1968 and later married the love of his life Gloria Shaffer Ledbetter on November 25, 1971. He was a member of Harmony Primitive Baptist Church.

Ronnie was a hard-working man and over the years worked at Reynolds, Gruman Boat Co., and later worked for and retired from Shields Lumber Company. In his spare time during the spring and summer he mowed anywhere from 15-20 yards each year. He was a member of the Ouachita School Board for 32 years and served as President for many of those years. Ronnie was a big supporter of the school, the students, and all Ouachita Athletics. He enjoyed being outdoors, playing golf, sitting on his front porch, taking trips to Branson with the family and he loved spending time with the grandkids and great grandkids.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Gloria Ledbetter, his parents, brother, Cecil Ledbetter and his two sisters, Betty Jones and Earline Thacker.

Survivors are his sons, Chad Ledbetter (wife, Mandy) and Brock Ledbetter; grandsons, Dillon Ledbetter (wife Lauren) and Devon Ledbetter; three great-grandchildren Asa, Maddox, and Charli Grace all of Donaldson; brother, Doug Ledbetter (wife, Sue) of Caney; sister, Pam Whitley (husband, David) of Magnet Cove along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Monday July 25, from 6-8PM at Regency Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be Tuesday July 26, at 10AM at Harmony Primitive Baptist Church, Donaldson with Elder Dan Samons and his nephew, Mickey Shaffer officiating. Burial will follow in Ouachita Cemetery. Pallbearers are Dillon Ledbetter, Devon Ledbetter, Alan Holland, Jerry Stafford, Danny Thacker, Darrell Thacker. Honorary Pallbearers are Ricky Catlett, members of the Ouachita School Board, Leon Burris and Paul Quattlebaum.
