Ronald (Ronny) Houston Dickinson, age 74, of Malvern, AR, passed away on May 9, 2024, at CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs. Ronny was born on November 18, 1949, in Malvern.

Ronny graduated from Magnet Cove High School in 1967. After attending Henderson State University, he graduated from Pine Bluff Vocational Technical School with a welding certificate. In 1971, he married Donna Jones Dickinson. They have 2 sons, Joseph Hunter Dickinson (Angela), and Jake McKay Dickinson. They are all of Hot Springs, fortunately all close to Donna at Magnet Cove.

Ronny was a welder at Reynolds Metals, Jones Mill, AR and Reynolds/Alcoa. After returning to Arkansas, he was employed by Rogers Group and later Martin Marietta. Ronny was a member of Round Hill Hunting Club in Dallas County. He loved hunting and fellowshipping, especially when his dad, Harold and brother, Gary were alive. Being outdoors and observing nature gave him great pleasure.

He loved squirrel hunting and turkey hunting with his grandson Triston. He adored him. Joseph would say "he loved Triston more than he loves me and Jake". Of course that wasn't true. Two of the happiest days of his life were the days they were born. Ronny liked cats much to the dismay of his wife Donna, who to this day, is terrified of them. So, when he went to Jake's, he loved sitting on his front porch playing with kitty Jabba, then would go in and watch movies together. Fishing was his favorite sprot. "Back in the day "he and his dear friend Don Brown bass fished OFTEN.

His niece Lynn loved to go fishing with her Uncle Ron. He got a kick out of Mark's son Coop, when the 3 of them would go he loved loved teasing Coop. He always looked forward to fishing trips with Joseph. The past several years Donna joined them. Ronny loved to see Joesph throw his temper tantrums when is mother would cast over him or handed him a big "bird nest" to untangle. He would laugh saying we needed a little entertainment.  Being with his family no matter what they were doing, was the highlight of his life.

Ronny Dickinson was a simple man, a quiet, gentle, and patient man a magnanimous heart who would do anything for those he loved. Though he had no trouble communicating his love in words, it was his mere presence that said it BEST! He will say it again in the resurrection, his family looks forward to that day.

He is preceded in death by his parents. Harold Dewayne Dickinson and Mary Dean Polly Fite Dickinson, and brother Gary Dickinson.

Left to cherish his memory, wife of 52 years, Donna Dickinson; sons, Joseph and Jake Dickinson; daughter in-law, Angela Dickinson; grandson, Triston Dickinson and fiancé, Meagan Bruce; sister in-law, Jeannie Wilson; nieces, Jennifer Goudeau and Ashley Jones; nephews, Mark Ballentine, Landon Jackson, and Brian Small; great nephews, Robert Wilson, Braxton and Cooper Ballentine, Hunter and Cannon Goudeau, Zaiden and Lucas Archuleta; great niece, Savannah Goudeau.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 14th, at 10 am with the Funeral Service starting at 11am at Regency Funeral Home Chapel. Burial to follow at Cypress Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Jake Dickinson, Joseph Dickinson, Triston Dickinson, Mark Ballentine, Brian Small, and Robert Ballentine.

Honorary pallbearers are Don Brown, Donnie Williams, Joes Keenan, Dwayne Riggin, David Dickinson, Billy Wilson, Dr. Sunilkumar Kakadia, and Lenard Dawson.

The family would like to give special thanks to the nursing staff at 2 West CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs, Dr. Kakadia, and Dr. Pruitt.
