Obituary

Rosemary Butler, 76, of Malvern passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at Encore Nursing and Rehabilitation in Malvern.  She was born February 9, 1950, in Malvern, the daughter of the late Harlie and Mary Lou Dalton Wallis.  Rosemary was a 1968 graduate of Magnet Cove High School.  She attended Girls' State and was a member of the Music and Beta Clubs and was a cheerleader. She was selected as a member of the Arkansas College Lassies. She attended Arkansas State University Lending School and graduated in 1988. She began her banking career at Bank of Malvern.  After working for 43 years, she retired as a Senior Vice President and loan officer for Summit Bank.  Rosemary was of the Baptist faith. Her hobbies included spending time with her grandchildren, playing the piano and singing.

Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Relda Bennett and father of her children, Freddy Butler.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Dede Haynes (Randy) and Brandi Martin (Drew); grandchildren, Carson Haynes, Jackson Haynes and Grace Martin; sister, Rita Ferguson (Jim); brother-in-law, Dave Bennett all of Magnet Cove; nieces, Meshelle Jones (Wade) and Jaede Ferguson; nephews, Scott Bennett (Candy), Gabe Herrington (Heather), Jody Bennett (Shannon) and Cody Ferguson (Alex) and six great nieces and nephews.

There will be no formal visitation, but you may go by Regency Funeral Home to sign the guest book.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, June 2nd at 2:00pm at Regency Funeral Home with Brother Bobby Goodknight and Brother Todd McElroy officiating.  Pallbearers will be Carson Haynes, Jackson Haynes, Scott Bennett, Jody Bennett, Wade Jones, Cody Ferguson, and Gabe Herrington. Burial will follow at Magnet Cove Cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers will be Eddie Conklin and Tammie Heath from Encore.

The family would like to thank Gentiva Hospice for their exceptional care during her final days.
