Rosie Ballard, 90, of Malvern went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at Encore in Malvern.  Mrs. Ballard was born January 18, 1933, in Malvern.  She worked at Caldwell's Furniture Store and Padgett Chevrolet then later retired from Malvern Housing Authority.  She attended First Baptist Church of Malvern.  Rosie enjoyed spending time with the ladies in her Sunday School class, traveling and taking pictures of all the places she traveled.  She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Elise Robinson Canada; husband, Balus O'Neal "Shorty" Ballard and two brothers, Charles and George Canada.

Survivors, sisters-in-law, Cherry Canada of Benton and Kay Hicks of Poyen; brothers-in-law, Larry Ballard (Mary) of Poyen, Jerry Ballard (Terri) of Glen Rose and Butch Ballard of Bryant; nephews, Charles Canada, Jr. (Diana) of Glen Rose and Jerry Canada (Marie) of Little Rock; nieces, Peggy Gillam of Malvern and Sandra Clark (Mark) of Texas and many other relatives and friends.

A celebration of Rosie's life will be held on Friday, February 17 at 2:00pm at Big Creek Cemetery with Brother Billy Bartlett officiating.  Pallbearers will be Larry Ballard, Butch Ballard, Scott Hicks, Ryan Hicks, Ryley Hicks and Allen Everett.  Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Canada, Jr., Jerry Canada and Jerry Ballard.
