Sara Jane Overton, age 74, of Malvern, passed away Sunday, August 9, 2026 in Little Rock. She was born April 6, 1952. She worked at Pactiv for 29 years.

She is preceded in death by her parents Johnny and Mary Scheel, son, Billy Overton; daughters, Paula Overton Lair and Tammy Overton Hughes.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Paul Overton; son, Rueben “Ben” Overton of Lucedale, MS; brother, William Scheel (Sharon) of Malvern; sister, Brenda Patterson of Scottmoor, FL; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, August 15, at 9:30 AM at Traskwood Cemetery with Bro. William Scheel officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 – 9:30 AM prior to service.

Pallbearers are Ben Overton, Cody Overton, and William Scheel.
