Sherman Lee Ollison Sr., age 80, of Malvern, AR, passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2024, in Hot Springs, AR. He was born on December 8, 1943 in Malvern, AR, the son of Bill and Zenobia Ollison. Sherman married the love of his life, Elaine Williams, on April 4, 1964 (having just celebrated 60 years of marriage in April) and worked for Reynolds for many years. He later went on to work for the Malvern School System for over 20 years, where he retired. He was a member of East Moline Church of Christ. Sherman was known and loved by many, especially his family whom he loved very much.
Sherman is preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Nona Ollison Cooper (Hercules), Ethel Ollison (Ricky); brothers Paul Ollison (Linda), and Grant Ollison (Ruby).
Left to cherish his memory, loving wife of 60 years, Elaine Williams Ollison; children, Sherman Ollison Jr., Gwen Turner (husband Dail), Paul Ollison, Ronald Scott Ollison (wife Robin), and Pamela Ollison; brothers, William Ollison (Mary), Raymond Ollison (Verta), Melvin Ollison, Grady Ollison (Linda), Bill Anthony Ollison (Valerie), Tony Ollison (Sherry); sisters, Onia Stephens (Rick), Rita Morgan (Henry), Sandra Nolen (John), and Carla Gregory (Vernon); grandchildren; Trevor Ollison, Ryan Ollison, and Naya Turner; great-grandchildren, Kalyiah Ollison, Kaylee Ollison, Kazlee Ollison, Kinslee Ollison, and Karlee Ollison; and a host of other relatives, friends, nieces and nephews.
Homegoing Celebration of Life will be held at: 11AM Saturday August 10, at the North Malvern Church of Christ (North Main) (823 N. Main Street Malvern AR 72104)
Repass will follow immediately after service. Please take any flowers/food to the repass on August 10th to the church.
On behalf of the Ollison Family! We are truly grateful that we were able to share the best, husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, in- law cousin, uncle, friend, and coworker, as he touched so many lives with laughter.
"Papa" Sherman will truly be missed.
Let his joyful spirit be a reminder of his great love for all!
