Shirley Beth Bailey, 91, of Malvern, Arkansas, entered into eternal peace on Sunday the 27th of April. Born on July 8, 1933, in Malvern, Arkansas, to Gilbert L. and Eulah Rankin Bailey, she was one of five daughters.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters Glenda Bailey, Martha Gately, Patsy Alexander and Joan Keeney; her nephews David Alexander and Troy Gately; her great-nephews Bryson Alexander and Cole Gately.

She leaves her memories to be cherished by her brother-in-law Harold Keeney of Malvern and her many relatives and friends.

Shirley was the kind of aunt everyone wishes they had. She loved her nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and she treated their friends like family too. She enjoyed hosting holiday dinners and hunting events. She had a generous heart, an adventurous spirit and a strong sense of independence. She lived her life on her own terms. We were lucky to have her and she'll be missed.

Shirley retired from Toler Lumber Company where she worked as an executive assistant for over 30 years. Before moving back to her hometown in 1970, she spent several years living in Houston,Texas, where she was a secretary at Baroid. She and her sisters always looked forward to the monthly Fairview luncheons.

Service will be held graveside at Clear Creek Cemetery on Saturday, May 3 at 11:00 am.
