Obituary

Stephen L. Turner, 54, of Malvern passed away on Tuesday, July 4, 2023.  He was born January 26, 1969 in Magnolia, Arkansas the son of the late Waymon Lloyd and Barbara Ann Jones Turner.  Stephen was a 1987 graduate of Malvern High School.  He worked for Willis Roofing and was a HSC Deputy Coroner.  He was a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, vice president of Elmore Hunting Club and on the board of directors for South Malvern Rural Fire Department.  Stephen had over 20 years in fire service and had also served as chief of the South Malvern Rural Fire Department.  He enjoyed hunting, camping, spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren and was an avid softball player.

Left to cherish his memory, wife of 16 years, Rachel A. Turner; sons, Tyler Turner (Brianna) of Poyen and Jace Turner of Malvern; daughter, Stephanie Armstrong (Ryan) of Malvern; sister, Thresa Hunter of Glen Rose; grandchildren, Brynlee Turner, Sawyer Turner Armstrong, Ravyn Armstrong, Blade Turner and Charleigh Armstrong; father and mother-in-law, Bert and Judy Brown of Benton; nephews, Collin Hunter (Makayla) and Brant Abbott (Dyani) and his precious pups, Rosco and Dasher.

Services will be Saturday, July 8 at 11:00am at Regency Funeral Home with Brother Donis Smead officiating.  Visitation will be from 9:00am until service time.  Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Garden.  Pallbearers will be Jason Chenault, David Hankel, Brooks Crain, Robert McFarland, Kyle Huneycutt, Todd Neeper, Brent Wheatley, CJ Savage, Jim Homan and Michael Sparks.  Honorary pallbearers will be South Malvern Rural Fire Department Members and 50 plus Men's Softball Team.

Stephen's final act was to give the gift of life through organ (and/or tissue) donation.
