Steven Wayne Welcher, age 66, of Malvern, passed away Saturday March 2, 2024. He was born on December 26, 1957, to Ray and Barbara Reed Welcher. He started work at the Acme Brick Company Perla Plant on May 21, 1976, and retired upon his death.  He enjoyed playing in the dirt with his dozer in the pit. He loved his pit crew team, who showed him great compassion. He loved to drag race in his Chevy "Super" Nova, which he built from the ground up. He was also very proud of his Choctaw heritage. Steven cherished his family, and was a great, kind, gentle soul who loved his family dearly.

Steve is preceded in death by his parents; 2-year-old brother, Donald Ray; brother-in-law, Nacho Reyes; grandparents "Big Mama" and "Big Daddy" & Verah and Bearl Reed; and his beloved Sassy dog and Luna girl.

Left to cherish his memory, loving wife of 30 years, Beth Welcher; daughters, Kirstie Lance (Chris) of Benton and Amber Stroup of Hot springs; grandchildren, Emorie Wibbelsman, Kayson Stroup, Linden Lance, and Cannon Lance; sisters Diane Reyes, Kathy Davis (Chuck), Debbie Beason (Lewis), and Sharon Rentfro (Caroll); numerous nieces, nephews, and family; and beloved dog Riger.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 6th from 5-6pm at Regency Funeral Home.
