Sue Mooney, age 80, of Glen Rose, AR, passed away on Tuesday, July 8, 2025. She weas born on August 2, 1944 in Malvern, AR, the daughter of Eliud and Lassie Tuggle Keisler.

Sue Mooney — mother, musician, storyteller, and survivor — leaves behind a legacy of love, music, and unmatched spirit. To describe Sue as simply a mother, daughter, grandma, friend or a musician would be to miss the essence of who she truly was. She brought joy wherever she went — a light in every room, a comfort in every storm. Her voice was strong, powerful, and soul-filled when she sang. People listened — not just because it was beautiful, but because it was deeply, unmistakably her. At the piano, Sue's fingers moved with grace, strength, and a story all their own. Her music didn't just fill rooms — it filled hearts. Over the years, she touched countless lives through her songs, each note a gift, each melody a memory.

For more than 20 years, Sue served as the Activities Director at Arkansas Health Center, where her creativity and warmth transformed daily care into meaningful connection. She brought joy to patients through engagement, activities, and song — always finding ways to make others feel seen, heard, and loved. She had a gift for dressing up, laughing loud, and making sure every person felt like they belonged. Life tested Sue in ways that would have broken many. However, she endured unimaginable loss and through it all, she held on to joy. She carried her grief with grace and chose — again and again — to love, to laugh, to sing.  We will remember her in the music, in the stories, in the laughter that erupts unexpectedly, and in the quiet strength that runs through our lives.

Sue is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bobby Joe Mooney; son, Bradley Mooney; brother, Bobby Keisler; and sisters, Murlene Tull and Frances Cranford.

Left to cherish her memory, daughters, Bobbie Sue Erick (Eddie) of Glen Rose and Kristal Mooney of Springdale; daughter in-law, Jennifer Mooney; brother, Doug Keisler (Jayne) of Malvern; grandchildren, Josh Swayze, Deanna Swayze Greenfield (Joshua), Brittany Morrison, Nate Mooney and Allie Mooney; great-grandchildren, Peyton Swayze and Matthew Morrison; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 12th from 10-11am at Regency Funeral Home, with the service starting at 11am, with Rev. Jason Keisler and Chris Cranford officiating. Burial to follow at Philadelphia Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Josh Swayze, Joshua Greenfield, Nate Mooney, Rodney Tuggle, Wayne Tuggle, Chris Cranford, and Brian Tull.

The family would like to give special thanks to the nurses and staff at Mt. Carmel Assisted Living, for the loving care they provided, over the past 6 years.
