Obituary

Sylvia Perry, 94, of Lono passed away on Sunday, May 29, 2022 at National Park Medical Center.  She was born on September 18, 1927, in Leola, the daughter of the late Albert and Vercie Gray Mackey.  Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James Clarence Perry and three siblings.  Sylvia enjoyed gardening and canning and was known for her good pan cornbread and peanut butter pie.  She was a member of the Lono Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors, son, James L. Perry (Jamice) of Magnet Cove; daughter, Kay Moore of Lono; grandchildren, Kevin Orr (Lisa), Kyle Orr (Julie), Justin Perry (Kayla) and Jamie Schaller (Brandon); great-grandchildren, Able, Eliza, Chad, Ashley and Kylie and four great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Wednesday, June 1 from 6:00-8:00pm at Regency Funeral Home.

Services will be Thursday, June 2 at 10:00am at Lono Missionary Baptist Church with Brother C.E. Holmes officiating.  Burial will follow at Lono Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Bobby Mackey, Danny Mackey, Kevin Orr, Kyle Orr, Chad Orr and Justin Perry.  Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. James Humphreys and staff, Dr. Fred Divers, Genesis Cancer Center and staff, Doug Young, Brother Roger and Karen Hall, David and Gail McMillian, Arbor Oaks staff and therapist and The Crossing.
