Thomas Harold Verser, age 66, passed away on December 28, 2023, surrounded by his family, after a brief but valiant battle with cancer. He was born May 9, 1957, to Vera Lee Taylor Verser and Martin Harold Verser. A lifelong resident of Magnet Cove, Tommy was a 1975 graduate of Magnet Cove High School. He earned a Master's degree from Ouachita Baptist University and coached and taught at Cutter Morning Star and Malvern Junior High for several years. He then began a 34-year career with the United States Postal Service where he made many friends serving the community at the Hot Springs and Malvern post offices.

Tommy enjoyed outdoor activities, especially deer hunting, camping, and shooting at the gun range. He was a member of Magnet Cove Missionary Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife and soulmate of 23 years, Tonya Maria Nix Verser.

Survivors are his son and best friend, Zach Verser of Magnet Cove, son Joshua Verser Quin (Tod) of Milwaukee, WI.; sister and brother-in-law Kathy and Sonny Crumby, of Magnet Cove; niece Kacee Crumby Sims (Patrick) of Perryville, AR; nephew Trey Crumby (Ashley) of Oxford, MS; great nieces and nephews Sydnee and Chloee Sims and Amelia, Theo, and Carter Crumby, mother in-law Anita Nix of Hot Springs and sisters in-law Tammy, Kim, and Kristi.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 5th from 6-8pm at Regency Funeral Home.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 6th at 2pm at Regency Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Charlie Williams officiating.

The family would like to give special thanks to his special friends at the US Postal Service in Malvern and Hot Springs.
