Tony Curtis Buie, aged 66, passed away on July 3, 2025, in Malvern, Arkansas. Born on November 12, 1958, Tony was known for his vibrant personality and his ability to entertain and enliven any gathering

Tony was the life of the party from a young age, a trait that he carried throughout his life. He graduated from Magnet Cove High School and soon after embarked on a varied career path. Initially, Tony worked as a pole cutter for a logging company and as a pizza maker at the local Pizza Hut. His career evolved as he took on roles as a machinist at a sawmill and later traveled across several states and to Puerto Rico building greenhouses. Tony spent the latter part of his career as a welder, working for various companies and individuals until a motorcycle accident in 2000.

Tony was passionate about motorcycles, music, and crafts. An avid Harley Davidson enthusiast, he found joy in the freedom of the open road. He was a self-taught musician who could play the harmonica, guitar, spoons, washboard, and tambourine, and was also a gifted singer. He had a particular love for classic country, bluegrass, and the blues, often sharing his musical talents through "picking and grinning" sessions with friends. He was also a skilled craftsman, creating keychains and jewelry from old silverware, often gifting them to those close to him.

Tony was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis Woodrow Buie and Catherine Adair McMains Buie; and his sisters, Treva House, Shelley Arivette, and Evelyn Smith. He is survived by his daughters, Shawnda (Jason) Smoke and Toni Buie; grandchildren, Jayden Smoke, Skylee Perry, and Peyton Smoke; brothers, Terry Buie and Phil Buie; and many nieces and nephews.

In line with his wishes for an informal remembrance, Tony donated his body to science in 2010. There will be no formal services at this time. A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date, where family and friends can gather to honor Tony's memory and legacy.
